This course provides the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to apply facial make-up products for day,
evening or special occasions and to apply specialised make-up products to disguise skin imperfections on the face and body.
It includes the ability to consult with clients, analyse face and skin types, demonstrate and apply make-up products to suit client needs or make-up brief, select products and equipment, and apply camouflage make-up to disguise the appearance of blemishes, birthmarks and scars.
This course applies to beauty therapists and make-up artists, retail assistants, and make-up freelancers who work in beauty salons, retail cosmetic outlets, and settings that provide make-up services.
|Pre Requisites:||No prior study or experience is required to complete this course.|
|Entry Requirements:||A minimum English language proficiency of Level 2 and Numeracy Level 1 is required to enrol in this course.|
|Proposed Intakes:||February and July
(Additional courses may be run according to demand. Availability of courses are subject to minimum numbers.)
|Course Duration:||10 weeks|
|College Attendance:||One Week Day – 10.00am to 2.00pm or
One Week Night – 6.00pm to 10.00pm at College premises 314 High Street Maitland NSW 2320. No classes are held during school holidays.
|Additional Requirements:||In addition to college attendance, students are required to undertake 3 hours per week of study which includes practicing the skills learnt in the classroom, research and study. Models will be required. BTCA can provide advice to assist with sourcing models.|
|Dress Code:||Black shirt and black full-length pants. Closed in shoes are mandatory. Hair is to be pulled back neatly every class. The college requests limited jewellery and no inappropriate skin exposure.|

The above course fee is the total cost of your training and consists of the following instalments.
1. An initial non- refundable enrolment fee of $200.00 will apply to this course. This fee is payable upon enrolment and will allocate you a position in the course. For more information on the enrolment process, please refer to page 2.
2. A deposit of $450.00 is required 1 week prior to course commencement.
3. The remaining balance can be paid prior to course commencement or according to our Flexible Payment Plan. Expect to pay $100.00 per week. For more information on Payment Plans, please refer to the Course Information Guide.
