This course provides the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to apply, maintain and remove acrylic nails and gel nails (includes overlays, infills, tips, and French); and to safely use electric file equipment in conjunction with artificial nail applications.

It includes the ability to consult with clients, select suitable products and techniques, and apply gel and acrylic nail enhancements. It also includes the ability to select from a range of bits and use electric file equipment to prepare for or modify an artificial nail application.

This course applies to beauty therapists and nail technicians who work in a home salon, beauty and nail salons and spas.
Pre Requisites: No prior study or experience is required to complete this course.
Entry Requirements: A minimum English language proficiency of Level 2 and Numeracy Level 1 is required to enrol in this course.
Proposed Intakes: February and July
(Additional courses may be run according to demand. Availability of courses are subject to minimum numbers.)
Duration: 17 weeks
College Attendance: One Week Day – 10.00am to 2.00pm or
One Week Night – 6.00pm to 10.00pm at College premises 314 High Street Maitland NSW 2320.
No classes are held during school holidays.
Additional Requirements: In addition to college attendance, students are required to undertake 2 ½ hours per week of study which includes practicing the skills learnt in the classroom, research and study. Models will be required. BTCA can provide advice to assist with models.
Dress Code: Black shirt and black full length pants. Closed in shoes are mandatory. Hair is to be pulled back neatly every class. The college requests limited jewellery and no inappropriate skin exposure.

Extras: Gel Products, additional equipment and linen will be supplied for use in class.
Course Fee: $1,995 (Price subject to change)
The above course fee is the total cost of your training and consists of the following instalments. 1. An initial non- refundable enrolment fee of $200 will apply to this course. 2. A deposit $395.00 is required 1 week prior to course commencement.
